The Diriyah Gate Development Authority and the Ministry of Culture establish the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority and the Ministry of Culture are working to establish the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art in Al-Bujairi neighborhood in Riyadh, in the context of developing Diriyah as a cultural, entertainment and tourism center. And making it an open destination to the world, rich in discovery, and encouraging creative artistic expression. The Ministry of Culture had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority to cooperate in implementing the museum project, which will be designed according to a modern creative concept influenced by the traditional local architectural style. The museum is part of the projects of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) that was established in July 2017 in order to preserve the history of Diriyah and develop it to become one of the attractive historical sites in the world, and the promotion of culture plays an important role to achieve this goal. & Amp; nbsp; The Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art aims to achieve important roles in the Saudi cultural scene, the most important of which is the promotion and encouragement of national art, so that the museum becomes a center for the Saudi visual identity, and a platform for promoting the best contemporary art pieces, in addition to being an incubator for new expressive voices in the Kingdom.
